I started with 12 inches of hair, but now the top of my head is only about 2 inches long. How in the world did that happen! To boot, my locktician is convinced that I cut my hair...not! Why I would cut the top of my hair is beyond me. Anybody else experiencing this?

I've heard of shrinkage but 10 inches? Wow. Do you cover your hair at night? Is there a possibility of some breakage up there? I can only imagine your frustration.
I am saddened to hear that you have had such a tremendous unexplainable loss in length. Have your lock been thiinning on top? Did your loctican change your lock pattern? I hope that you can figure out what happened. Don't loose faith, it will grow back.
I don't think she changed my pattern. I think it is bunching because the locks on top is much fatter than the locks in the back.
I know my locs shrunk a lot but I figured since my loose hair shrunk 60-80% my locs would be no different. They have proved that right. At 18 months I still have not caught up to the 7 in I started with.
